Do artistic QR codes actually work?
Yes. These are real QR codes, built with the highest error-correction level, dark module colours and a 4-module quiet zone. Styling can still make a code harder to scan on some devices, so always test-scan with a phone before printing, especially at small sizes.
How do I make a custom QR code for a menu or wedding sign?
Paste the link, press Generate New until you like the layout, test-scan it with your phone and export SVG for the printer. Print it at least a few centimetres wide.
Does the QR code expire?
No. Your link is encoded directly in the code; there is no redirect service in between that could stop working.
Can I customize the colors?
The codes use the classic Mondrian palette of red, blue, yellow, black and white. You can re-randomise how the colours are distributed. Custom brand colours are not supported.
Which format is best for print?
SVG. It scales to any size without blurring. Use the 4K PNG for screens or when your software does not accept SVG.
How small can I print it?
It depends on the link length and the phone scanning it. Test-scan your actual print; larger is always safer for artistic codes.
Can I put text instead of a link?
Yes. Any text you type is encoded; phones will show it when they scan the code.
Does it work on a phone?
