What should I bring to a photoshoot?
At least the camera body, the lenses you plan to use, charged spare batteries, empty memory cards and a way to back them up, plus lighting or reflectors for the job. Each list in Photoshoot Checklist starts from what that kind of shoot needs, and you add the rest.
What types of shoots are covered?
Ready-made lists for weddings, street, travel, studio, landscape, wildlife, newborn, pet and real estate shoots, plus a custom list. Client shoot templates for wedding, portrait, product, real estate and event shoots create a separate checklist with a shot list for each job.
What is a wedding photography shot list?
The list of photos you have agreed to deliver, in the order of the day: details and rings, getting ready, the ceremony, family groups, couple portraits and the reception. The wedding template starts one for you and you edit it with the couple.
What are client shoot templates?
A template creates a new checklist for a named shoot, with a client name and date, a 12-item checklist and an 8-item shot list in English, Spanish or Portuguese. You can edit everything. They are checklists, not email or contract templates.
What goes in the scouting notes?
Location, address, GPS coordinates, sun and light notes, access and permits, parking, a backup location and other notes. The Use my location button fills in coordinates only when you tap it and your browser allows it.
Can I print a checklist?
Yes. The printer button prints the title, client and date, checklist, shot list and any filled-in scouting notes in black and white, or you can save it as a PDF from the print dialog.
Can I add my own checklist items?
Yes. Start from a list, add or remove items and tick them off as you go. Your lists are saved in your browser for reuse on future shoots.
Does it send reminders?
No. It is a checklist you open while packing and on location. Nothing is sent anywhere, and your lists stay on your device.
Does it work on my phone on location?
Yes. It runs in the browser on phones, tablets and computers, with large rows you can tick with a thumb.
